This is going to be hella long (not helped by the track list already being long itself), so most of my ramblings will be kicked under an LJ-cut. I think most can appreciate that reaching a tenth anniversary is always something admirable and worth celebrating. There have been a lot of tenth anniversaries this year and last, but Japan has certainly gone nuts for 10-year-old-Arashi. Clocking well over a million copies, their tenth anniversary best-of album turns out to be the highest selling album (and CD) for Jpop 2009 (and 34th globally). They also set records for being the only artists to receive the Oricon four crown - #1 in single, album, music DVD and overall sales charts. I've certainly caught the Arashi fever too, albeit very late. I kind of lost my mind last month (Ria was there) and realised maybe there was a reason why I was rewatching AAA08 in Tokyo everyday (Ria pretty much just laughed her head off and got me the DVD as a present <3 What a supporter! XD Cheerleader of all the walks of my fangirl life~ XD). The next order of business was THIS EPIC ALBUM, which I had to get no matter what even though I was months too late. Cost me an arm and leg and now I'm too scared to use it after the first opening. XP As always, this compilation serves as the best thing for newer fans or just those who want to have a listen but don't know where to start. Highly recommended!

Arashi was the biggest thing that happened to me in 2009 since I started paying attention to their past activities, and I apologise for this long post and taking the last entry of 2009. ^^;; Thanks for a great 2009, you guys! Goodbye, 2009! See you all in the next decade! :)

There are also plans for TOP and Seungri to release either mini albums or digital singles.

This is more or less a summary of the two articles.

This year at the 51st Annual Japan Record Awards 9 (sponsored by the Japan Songwriter Association) dance/vocal group EXILE took their 2nd consecutive win this year with the song " Someday ". They had won the award last year for the song " Ti Amo ". The Rookie of the Year award went to the Korean dance/hip hop group " Big Bang ".

When EXILE went to recieve the award, the group's vocalist, ATSUSHI, said emotionally " This year we've had many obsticles that I can remember ", Hiro added in happily. " I'm so moved to be able to win this honor two years in a row. " We will always try our best with all of our might to be the ultimate entertainers. "

GReeeN had taken Album of the Year at this year's Japan Record Awards. While the members were disguised, it was the first time you were able to hear their natural voices.
